Smile You’re Not on Camera

A project with Miriam Woodburn, Laurel Sumner & Elliot Spiers
Londoners are likely to be caught on security cameras over 300 times a day. With every action monitored, we are losing the meaning of privacy.

However, without a 360 degree view, the eye of the camera can only capture so much. We want to celebrate CCTV blind spots and mark them with an invitation to defy the rules.

We created a game where breaking the rules means winning. The general public are encouraged to play within the camera blind spots as a rebellion against surveillance.
